Welcome!

Our research group studies the chemistry of the indole nucleus. We aim to develop original strategies towards dearomatizations of indoles in order to obtain biologically relevant three dimensional scaffolds and to achieve the total synthesis of indoline-containing natural products.

September 2020: Congrats to Yingchao, his paper "Bioinspired Divergent Oxidative Cyclization from Strictosidine and Vincoside Derivatives: Second Generation Total Synthesis of Cymoside and Access to an Original Hexacyclic‐Fused Furo[3,2‐b]indoline"  is published in Chem. Eur. J.

September 2020: Congrats to Maxime, Aurélien and Natacha, their full paper in collaboration with Laurent Evanno and Erwan Poupon "Bioinspired Divergent Oxidative Cyclizations of Geissoschizine: Total Synthesis of (–)‐17‐nor‐Excelsinidine, (+)‐16‐epi‐Pleiocarpamine, (+)‐16‐Hydroxymethyl‐Pleiocarpamine and (+)‐Taberdivarine H"  is published in Eur. J. Org. Chem in the "YourJOC Talents" special collection.

January 2020: Congrats to Ju and Hussein, their paper "Electrochemical synthesis of 3a-bromofuranoindolines and 3a-bromopyrroloindolines mediated by MgBr2" is published in Chem. Commun.

December 2019: Maxime Jarret successfuly defended his thesis on December 12th.

November 2019: Congrat to Yingchao. His paper "Enantioselective Total Synthesis of Cymoside through a Bioinspired Oxidative Cyclization of a Strictosidine Derivative" is published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.

October 2019: Dmytro Ryzhakov and Ju Wu successfuly defended their respective thesis on October 14th and 17th.

October 2019: We welcome Audrey and Shanyu who start their PhD.

October 2019: Guillaume was appointed Directeur de Recherche du CNRS.

May 2019: Great collaboration with Laurent Evanno and Erwan Poupon (BioCIS, Pharma - U PSud). Congrat to Maxime. His paper "Bioinspired Oxidative Cyclization of the Geissoschizine Skeleton for Enantioselective Total Synthesis of Mavacuran Alkaloids" is published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.

January 2019: We welcome Hussein Abou-Hamdan as a postdoctoral researcher in the team.

September 2018: Maxime obtained a poster prize at the 22nd International Conference on Organic Synthesis in Florence (ICOS 22) from the Royal Society of Chemistry (http://www.22-icos-florence.it/)

August 2018: Our recent synthesis of 17-nor-excelsinidine published in Angewandte Chemie has been highlighted in Synfact by Prof. Carreira.

June 2018: Guillaume received the "Chercheur Avancé" Prize ("J-M Lehn Prize) from the Organic Chemistry Division of the French Chemical Society (SCF).
